Pre-Admission and Registration Center

Our Lady of the Lake's unique, surgery-specific Pre-Admissions and Registration Center (PARC) helps facilitate a smooth hospital experience in what can feel like a fast-paced environment. PARC team members are with you through every step of your surgical experience, including preparing patients and families for surgery through discharge.

PARC staff strongly encourages patients scheduled for inpatient or outpatient surgery to call or visit the PARC at least a week prior to the scheduled procedure if time permits. The PARC helps to coordinate your pre-surgery needs, simplify the surgery experience and assist with the following:

• Completion of required tests
• A review of health history and completion of the anesthesia pre-operative record with the anesthesia representative
• Individualized teaching
• Discussion of discharge needs
• An opportunity to discuss questions or concerns patients may have about their surgery or procedure
