Freestanding ER in Livingston: It's About Time
OLOL Livingston -- Your ER is Here.
Our Lady of the Lake's freestanding ER in Livingston Parish is now open and is located at 5000 O'Donovan Blvd in Walker. The phone number is (225) 271-6000.
Our Lady of the Lake has long served the residents of Livingston Parish and we're excited to provide even more services to this growing parish we call home, including new jobs at Livingston under OLOL jobs. Positions at our Livingston campus are denoted by "OL Liv" under the job title.
In emergency situations, time matters. The time it takes to get to an emergency room for treatment can make a difference. The state’s first freestanding emergency room opened for business on September 12th in Livingston off of Interstate 12 at the Walker Exit.
Our Lady of the Lake Livingston gives Livingston and surrounding area residents access to a freestanding emergency room that is open 24 hours a day for the treatment of urgent and emergent medical conditions including heart attacks, strokes, respiratory distress, head injuries, abdominal pain, dehydration, orthopedic injuries, sports injuries and more. Appointments are not needed to be seen at the facility. OLOL Livingston will be staffed with the same medical personnel and diagnostic equipment available at Our Lady of the Lake.
What's the difference between OLOL Livingston and OLOL?
OLOL Livingston is a freestanding emergency room that is not connected to a hospital. If a patient has to be admitted to a hospital, OLOL Livingston makes sure the patient is comfortable and stable and then an ambulance on site brings the patient to the hospital of their choice.
In addition to a freestanding emergency room, OLOL Livingston includes outpatient services such as a lab; imaging services including CT, ultrasound, X-ray and MRI and physician offices. Primary care doctors, pediatricians and many specialists such as cardiology, orthopedics, ear nose and throat, eye specialists, allergists, vascular specialists, urology and pain management doctors will occupy the physician office space.
