New Heart and Vascular Tower Goes Up
Progress on Our Lady of the Lake's new 9-story Heart and Vascular Tower at the corner of Essen Lane and Hennessy Boulevard continues.
The most significant addition to Our Lady of the Lake's campus since the hospital moved to Essen Lane in 1978, some interesting facts about the Heart and Vascular Tower are:
- 330,000 square feet
- Nine stories
- Only eight feet shorter than Tiger Stadium
- Expected to be complete in November of 2013
- Heart and Vascular includes new patient rooms, ICUs, state-of-the-art operating rooms, catheterization labs, and electrophysiology labs
Our heart and vascular physicians have worked with ICU physicians, administrators, nurses and other caregivers in designing this building to include new features that will further enhance patient care and safety across all areas and incorporate the most advanced technology and build on new innovations in the future.
