St. Francis Volunteer Services is looking for people who want to serve others in an atmosphere of Christian community.
Areas of Service:
- Gift Shop
- ICU Waiting Room
- Surgery Waiting Room
- Hostess/Information Desk Assistant
- Creative Services
- Pastoral Ministries
- Community Health Center Greeter
- NICU Rocking Program
- Family Support Volunteer
- Admissions Department
- Education Department
- Greeter at St. Francis Medical Center - North
- Special Events
Hours of Service:
Three or four hour shifts, one time each week or more
- A free meal pass each day you volunteer a minimum of three hours
- Annual flu immunization
- Access to hospital educational programs
- In-services and workshops
- Recognition through special volunteer appreciation events
None; on-the-job training
Four of our volunteers have been named the Nation's Volunteer of the Day and have received the Daily Points of Light Award from the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network. Also, in 2011 the St. Francis Auxiliary group was awarded the Daily Points of Light Award. This award honors an individual or organization that is making a positive and lasting difference in the lives of others.
